CIC Adds New Gluten-Free & Vegan Items

The Cross Insurance Center will be offering new selections at the concession stands, including additional gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options for guests, starting with the High School Basketball Tournament on February 14.

The items that the Cross Insurance Center will be offering include a hummus and pretzel cup, apple slices, a fruit cup, yogurt smoothie, ‘Berry Blast’ smoothie, ‘Almond Mango Tango’ mix, ‘Cashew Crumble’ mix, and veggie straws.  All of these new items will vary from two to five dollars in price.

“We at the Cross Insurance Center are always trying to be able to accommodate as much as possible to our guests and this community.  We’re hoping these new options will provide a better variety for those with dietary restrictions.  The Cross Insurance Center is always about improving guest experience and providing for this great community,” said Tony Vail, General Manager of the Cross Insurance Center.

The Cross Insurance Center and Spectra are also looking into other offerings and possibly bringing in plant-based meat products for the concession stands and for events in the convention center.

“Spectra is very conscientious to the dietary trends and movements in the country and we’re trying to stay ahead of the curb as much as possible.  We’re hoping these selections will allow our guests to have alternative options to what we have offered in the past to increase the overall experience,” said Mark Strang, Director of Food & Beverage at the Cross Insurance Center.

These new menu items will compliment already offered items such as the veggie burger and gluten-free whoopie pies.  The new food choices will provide a better variance for those with food restrictions.

“We want to be able to cater to as many people as possible and their dietary restrictions.  We’re here to provide the best experience for everyone that attends the Cross Insurance Center, and that includes our food offerings,” said Ryan LaRochelle, Executive Chef at the Cross Insurance Center.
