SEATING CHART:

ABOUT THE ARTIST

One of the most versatile and daring artists in hip-hop today, platinum-selling rapper/singer/songwriter TRIPPIE REDD has landed four albums in the top 10 in just three years’ time. With the November 2019 release of A Love Letter To You 4 – his first-ever album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart – Trippie delivered a dynamic, 21-track effort that amassed over 125.9 million streams in its first week alone. With penetrating lyrics and nuanced but hard-hitting vocals, the 20-year-old Ohio native continually defies genre boundaries, combining elements of rock and heavy metal with hip-hop.

As he recalls, the urge to create his own music arose after his older brother (an aspiring rapper who went by the name Dirty Redd) died in a car accident when Trippie was 10. (“I took his dream and did it myself,” Trippie says now.) He started recording in his cousin’s basement and later relocated to Atlanta to hone his skills, quickly landing a record deal with 10K Projects in 2017.

“I’m not just making music just to make it,” says Trippie, who now lives in Los Angeles. “I make music to feel other people’s emotions and vibes. I want to tap into other people’s world.”

Sometimes making up to 10 songs a night, Trippie devotes much of his time and energy into sculpting addictive melodies and exploring the many eclectic genres that inform his sound. The young artist is now at work on a new project, which he describes as inspired by Deftones, Nirvana, and Dance Gavin Dance.
