Championship Game Viewing Party

The America East Championship Game Viewing Party at the Cross Insurance Center, scheduled for Friday, March 13th, will be cancelled.

The Cross Insurance Center will be hosting a “Championship Game Viewing Party” on Friday evening to show the America East Women’s Basketball Championship Game between the Maine Black Bears and the Stony Brook Seawolves.

The viewing party will be free of cost for those interested in attending and will consist of prize giveaways, raffles, and other surprises for fans to enjoy while watching the championship game.  Parking will also be free for this event, with the scheduled start of the contest beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday evening.

“We’re really excited to announce the hosting of what we’re hoping to be an annual “Championship Game Viewing Party”.  I’ve been a part of hosting viewing parties in my previous positions and they have always been a huge hit.  The viewing parties in particular have been well received by those who might not have the means to attend home games during the regular season. We feel like hosting this is yet another great way to open the Cross Insurance Center to the community and what better way to do it than the first of this sort of an event at this facility. The goal is to host these types of events in conjunction with UMaine for many years to come. ‘Go Black Bears!’” said Cross Insurance Center General Manager Tony Vail.

This will be another community event for the Cross Insurance Center as the facility continues to provide entertainment and events to the greater Bangor area.  As part of the event fans will be able to watch the game via the arena video board and concessions will also be served through the duration of the event.  The Cross Insurance Center will also be hosting various activities around the viewing party and will have the hoops set-up in the arena.
